LEADER
Be the

Puppies are born to follow. Their first leader is their mother. She is strong, consistent and the boundaries are well defined. As your new puppy is so cute, this is something very easily forgotten. Many of my clients hold very responsible positions, which take strong leadership skills but when it comes to a puppy they turn to jelly. Puppies sense your lack of confidence and take advantage of what they see is a weak animal. This is generally followed over time by a gradual escalation of bad behaviours. The number one thing for a puppy to realise is whos in charge. Start teaching your puppy straight away, they are not too young, and you do not need to wait.
House Training
The first steps to
Some dogs take longer than others to stop peeing in the house. Frustration and impatience will not serve you here. At the beginning try to define an area where the puppy can relieve itself. Take your puppy outside as often as possible. I have been contacted ao many times about this and my first place to start is, how long a period, does the puppy spend outside. Once they do start to relieve themselves outside, make sure you praise them for doing so. If they do have an accident inside keep calm and take them to spot you have designated. or just clear it up and move on.
Its important to
Exercise
After their final injections you can safely take your puppy outside of the house, the quicker this happens the more quickly they will become use to the outside world. Do it in stages a trip into town is not your first priority. Walk locally, perhaps just in your road start with and make sure you are always in front. This will show your puppy the leadership they are looking for.
